The system of classification called Harmonized System (HS) has been developed and is maintained by the World Customs Organization (www.wcoomd.org). The HS number is an international recognition number. It is used mainly for national customs classification and collecting statistics of world trade. The HS classification number consists of 6 digits. Some countries require that is mentioned in the dispatch of goods.
